Discovery & Research

We learn your story, goals and readers.

Week 1

  1. Base Camp Week 1

    01. Discovery & Research

Every book starts with a conversation. A publishing strategist learns what your book is about, who it's for and what success looks like to you — then researches your genre, comparable titles and audience.

    Your part

Share your idea, draft or notes and your goals.

    Our part

Research your market and recommend the right path.

    • Free strategy consultation
    • Market & genre research
    • Tailored proposal & timeline
  2. Camp I Weeks 2–14

    02. Writing & Development

Whether you're writing yourself, co-writing or working with a ghostwriter, we build a detailed outline and develop the manuscript chapter by chapter with regular check-ins.

    Your part

Review outlines and chapters; join interview sessions.

    Our part

Outline, draft and develop the manuscript with you.

    • Chapter outline
    • Chapter drafts
    • Dedicated project manager
  3. Camp II 3–6 weeks

    03. Editing & Refinement

Developmental, line and copy editing sharpen structure and language, with tracked changes so you approve every suggestion. A second editor proofreads the final pages.

    Your part

Accept, reject and discuss editorial changes.

    Our part

Edit at every level and proofread the final text.

    • Editorial report
    • Line & copy edit
    • Final proofread
  4. Camp III 2–4 weeks

    04. Cover & Visual Design

Our designers research your genre and present original cover concepts. You choose a direction, we refine it, and you receive the full print wrap plus launch graphics.

    Your part

Choose a concept and give feedback.

    Our part

Design, refine and prepare every cover asset.

    • Three cover concepts
    • Full print wrap
    • 3D mockups & promo art
  5. Camp IV 1–3 weeks

    05. Formatting

Typesetters design the interior for print and ebook — chapter openers, typography and layout — and validate every file against retailer requirements.

    Your part

Approve the sample chapter and review proofs.

    Our part

Typeset, proof and validate print and ebook files.

    • Print-ready PDF
    • Validated EPUB
    • Printed proof copy
  6. The Ridge 1–2 weeks

    06. Publishing

We handle ISBNs, metadata, categories and retailer setup. Your book is published to ebook and print channels with accounts in your name, so royalties go straight to you.

    Your part

    Approve your listings and pricing.

    Our part

Publish across ebook, print and audio channels.

    • ISBN & metadata
    • Retailer listings
    • 100% royalties to you
  7. The Summit Launch + ongoing

    07. Marketing & Launch

A launch campaign built for your audience: advance reviews, advertising, author platform and outreach — with monthly reporting so you always know what's working.

    Your part

Join launch activities and share your story.

    Our part

Plan, run and report on your launch campaign.

    • Launch calendar
    • Review & ARC outreach
    • Monthly performance reports

“Zero surprises on the invoice.”

Clear timelines, honest advice, zero surprises on the invoice. The launch campaign put the book in front of exactly the readers I'd hoped for.
